Columbus Blue Jackets ahead Nick Foligno was suspended three video games on Monday for elbowing Colorado Avalanche ahead Pierre-Edouard Bellemare two nights earlier.
Foligno drew a five-minute charging penalty and a recreation misconduct for the hit. He left his skates close to heart ice as Bellemare approached and drove his left elbow into the opponent’s face.
The league’s ruling signifies that Foligno is ready to overlook a Tuesday highway recreation at Montreal, a Friday house recreation towards the St. Louis Blues and a Nov. 19 house recreation towards the Canadiens.
