Republican Bevin concedes Kentucky governor’s race


(Information) – Matt Bevin, the Republican Kentucky governor backed by U.S. President Donald Trump, conceded defeat on Thursday in a good race in opposition to Democrat Andy Beshear.

Beshear, whose father, Steve, was the state’s final Democratic governor, scored a slender victory on Nov. 5 regardless of an election-eve rally headlined by Trump, who stays well-liked amongst Republicans.
