Canadiens’ Drouin, Byron set for surgical procedures

The Montreal Canadiens can be with no pair forwards for an indefinite period of time as Jonathan Drouin and Paul Byron each want surgical procedure, head coach Claude Julien informed reporters Monday.

Drouin is headed for wrist surgical procedure Monday, whereas Byron could have a knee process. Timetables on their returns weren’t revealed.

Drouin, 24, was injured in Friday’s sport in opposition to the Washington Capitals when he took successful from Alex Ovechkin. Byron, 30, was injured in the identical sport.

Drouin has seven targets and eight assists in 19 video games and his 15 factors are tied for fourth most on the staff. Byron has one aim and three assists in 19 video games.
