5-time World Collection champion and longtime New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter headlines a bunch of 18 new candidates on the 32-member 2020 Corridor of Fame poll.

Different first-timers up for Cooperstown consideration on the listing launched Monday embrace pitchers Cliff Lee and Josh Beckett, outfielders Bobby Abreu and Alfonso Soriano, and first basemen Jason Giambi and Paul Konerko.

Ballots are being mailed this week to greater than 400 voting members of the Baseball Writers’ Affiliation of America. Candidates should be named on 75 % of ballots to realize election.
