U.S. condemns ‘unjustified use of power’ in Hong Kong: senior official

WASHINGTON (Information) – The US condemned the “unjustified use of power” in Hong Kong and known as on Beijing to guard Hong Kong’s freedom, a senior official in President Donald Trump’s administration stated Sunday, as protesters battled Hong Kong police who had trapped them inside a significant college.

“We condemn the unjustified use of power and urge all sides to chorus from violence and have interaction in constructive dialogue,” the senior U.S. official stated.

“Because the President has stated, the USA expects Beijing to honor its commitments underneath the Sino-British joint Declaration and to guard Hong Kong’s freedom, authorized system and democratic lifestyle,” the official stated.

Hong Kong police sealed off the Polytechnic College and demonstrators rampaged by a vacationer district, after nearly two straight days of standoffs which have raised fears of a bloody showdown.
