Pentagon denies U.S. is contemplating pulling troops from South Korea

OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea (Information) – The Pentagon on Thursday denied a South Korean information report saying that the USA was contemplating a major lower to its troop numbers in South Korea if Seoul doesn’t contribute extra to the prices of the deployment.

“There’s completely no fact to the Chosun Ilbo report that the U.S. Division of Protection is at present contemplating eradicating any troops from the Korean Peninsula,” Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman mentioned in an announcement, referring to Secretary Mark Esper, who earlier on Thursday had mentioned he was unaware of any such planning.
