Qatar says talks to finish Gulf dispute have been suspended in January


MUNICH (Information) – Qatar’s overseas minister stated on Saturday efforts to resolve a bitter Gulf dispute had not succeeded and have been suspended at first of January.

The discussions started in October on a row wherein Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severed political, commerce and transport ties with Qatar in mid-2017.

“It’s been virtually three years,” Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stated on the Munich Safety Convention. “We weren’t perpetrators and are open to any provide to resolve this drawback.”

“Sadly efforts didn’t succeed and have been suspended firstly of January and Qatar is just not liable for this,” he stated.
