WASHINGTON (Information) – The five-member Federal Communications Fee has unanimously voted to approve an order to permit Ligado Networks[MOSAV.UL] to deploy a low-power nationwide 5G community regardless of objections from the U.S. Protection Division, different federal businesses and main U.S. airways.
The telecommunications regulator stated Monday the approval order included stringent situations geared toward guaranteeing international positioning methods wouldn’t expertise dangerous interference. Protection Secretary Mark Esper wrote on Twitter Friday that the “Ligado proposal would needlessly imperil (Protection Division) GPS-dependent nationwide safety capabilities.”
